Young Creators
Are you a London-based creative, passionate individual aged 18-26 with a love for theatre and event production?
Young Creators is an exciting initiative where you can gain hands-on experience in the world of theatre and event production. Participants will have the unique opportunity to produce an event in response to THE BIG LIFE, a play that explores the aspirations, challenges, and cultural identity of the Windrush generation of Caribbean immigrants in post-war England, set to a Ska musical backdrop.
You will work with the team and have the opportunity to specialise in a role that suits your interests and skills, such as:
📋 Producing (Internal Operations & Coordination)
💰 Producing (Finance & Budget)
📢 Marketing (Including Social Media & Content Creation)
🎨 Event Design (Decor, Theme, Layout)
🌟 Artist Liaison (Talent Bookings, Sponsors)
You'll work closely with our dedicated Programme Director, Abigail Maria Sol, who will guide and support you throughout the programme.
SELECTION CRITERIA
We welcome applications from anyone in London, however, please be aware of the following:
- We are looking for people who are hungry to learn more about project management, producing and managing events. You don't need to have lots of previous experience, but you do need demonstrate why this programme would be useful to you in your career.
- Given the themes of THE BIG LIFE, we’re prioritising individuals of Caribbean heritage and those from other underrepresented backgrounds in the theatre community.
- As a proudly East London theatre we work hard to serve our local community, as such we prioritise applications from East London Boroughs (Newham, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets, Greenwich, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, Havering).
