Want to have your say in the future of Theatre Royal Stratford East?
Are you our future Producer, Marketing Manager or Artistic Director?
Want to learn how cultural organisations are run?

Stratford East's brand-new initiative, the Future Leaders programme is for East London-based 16-25 year olds who are interested in learning about different types of leadership, how cultural organisations are run, and want to have their say in the future of our creative industries.

Future Leaders will:

  • Participate in a range of skills workshops led by Stratford East staff and other industry professionals centred around leadership, governance and activism within the creative industries.
  • Work alongside our Board, creating a core group of young people embedded in Stratford East, who will advise us and inform the work we do to help shape our future as an organisation.
  • Create and run an event or project for young people in October half-term 2022, supported by the Learning and Participation Team.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of each department at Stratford East and how the building is run.
  • Receive mentoring from current Young Trustees.
  • Have the opportunity to become a Young Trustee after the 12-month course.

IS THIS PROJECT FOR ME?
Whether you’re looking to build a career in the creative industries, deepen your understanding of cultural organisations or simply gain valuable leadership skills to transfer into your chosen field, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for a real mix of people with a variety of skills and interests to make up our Future Leaders. You don’t need to have any formal theatre experience or to have worked with us before, but a keen interest in Arts and Culture and agency to challenge the current culture is vital!
