Led by New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, Ramps on the Moon brings together a collaborative network of six National Portfolio Organisation theatres: Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Nottingham Playhouse, Leeds Playhouse, and Sheffield Theatres.
We are enriching the stories we tell and the way we tell them by normalising the presence of D/deaf and disabled people both on and off stage. We are working together to change the world by normalizing the presence of deaf, disabled and learning-disabled people both on and off stage; ensuring a better future for the theatre industry. Watch a video introduction here.
Previous productions include: The Government Inspector, The Who's Tommy, Our Country's Good and Oliver Twist. The current Ramps on the Moon production is Sheffield Theatre's Much Ado About Nothing, adapted and directed by Robert Hastie. The next, and final, Ramps on the Moon show will be Stratford East's VILLAGE IDIOT, written by Samson Hawkins and directed by Nadia Fall.
