In support of Medical Aid For Palestinians, join globally-acclaimed poet and Sunday Times Best-Selling Author, Hussain Manawer, along with special guests for a night uniting hearts and minds. Hussain's poetry explores themes such as grief, loss, social justice, help, hope and healing.
All proceeds from the event, including ticket costs, sales of Hussain’s books, and bucket collections will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians.

Joseph Marlow
Joseph is a London-based session musician who has played alongside artists such as Mansur Brown, Jack Hawitt, Conor Albert, Hussain Manawer and many more. Having played major events such as Main Stage Pride to over 25,000 people, Kendall Calling, Gala Festival, and BBC Live Lounge at Maida Vale this year alone, he is a prominent figure in the London Session scene. Joseph can also be found as the guitarist in the popular West End show Magic Mike Live!. Trained in London, Joseph specialises in all styles. He also runs the popular Brixton-based event In Time at the Ritzy, which has seen Grammy winners, platinum sellers, and industry legends walk through its doors! His own collective has held headline shows at Ronnie Scotts, and the Prestigious Soho Pizza Express Jazz club.
Mascuud Dahir
Mascuud Dahir is an actor, writer and DJ born and raised in the heart of East London. He has worked on several productions both on stage, most recently alongside Talawa Theatre and Theatre Peckham, and has worked on screen with directors such as Yorgos Lanthimos. He also works with the London Short Film Festival as a programmer and jury member. Earlier this year, he previewed some of his writing at the Royal Court. He has DJ’d several gigs in 2023 and is working on creating his own collective. Mascuud also enjoys taking photos with his film cameras, capturing moments with his friends and family.
Saida Ahmed
Saida is a black mixed-race, disabled woman. Saida has a BA in Inclusive Theatre. She is represented by Geri Spicer at InterTalent Agency. Saida is an actress, poet, published writer, and a 2020 Stage Debut Award Nominee for the title character in Little Miss Burden, written by Matilda Ibini and directed by Debbie Hannan at the Bunker Theatre. Saida’s recent credits include a lead in Jerk (BBC), a guest role in Brassic (Sky), and the title role in the short film Mo <3 Kyra (Film4). Saida’s other credits include Unprecedented – The Unexpected Expert starring alongside Golda Rosheuvel and Lucianne McEvoy; The Gift alongside Sharon D Clarke, written by Leanna Benjamin, directed by Cheryl Martin and produced by Nickie Miles-Wildin, for the Graeae Theatre Company’s YouTube channel for the Crips Without Constraints YouTube series. Saida also starred in an audio play on Northern Stage’s Youtube, Don’t Spill The Tea by Chris Sonnex, starring alongside Tanya Loretta Dee, Zainab Hasan and Lennon Aoife, and an audio play version of Little Miss Burden. Saida has gone on to appear in many more pieces, such as Notes to The Forgotten She-Wolves at The Globe, written by Matilda Ibini; Soul Food by Leanna Benjamin; Head Over Wheels (a short comedic story on YouTube), written by Matilda Ibini and directed by Lisle Turner at Open Sky Ahead Theatre Company.
Gurbaksh Matharu
Gurbaksh Matharu is an eminent Indian Classical musician acclaimed for playing the Tarshenai, Esraj and Dilruba. Matharu’s virtuosic playing seamlessly intertwines the Sarod and vocal repertoire he was diligently taught by his Gurus. He has contributed immensely towards popularising the Tarshenai in the west and is widely praised for his soul-stirring performances. More recently, he has lent his music to different genres of music and is working on several contemporary music projects.
Fady Elsayed
Fady Elsayed is a British Egyptian actor born and raised in Islington. He is known for his roles in the Doctor Who spin-off Class and the Sky Atlantic series Gangs of London. His films include My Brother the Devil and A Private War. He was nominated as Best British Newcomer at the BFI Awards at London Film Festival and also starred in the Wretch 32 music video His and Hers.
Hussain Manawer
East London born and raised Artist Hussain Manawer is a globally acclaimed Poet who became the first British Pakistani to have a Sunday Times Best Selling Book with his debut poetry collection Life Is Sad And Beautiful last year, which has now been adapted and taught in the UK national schools curriculum. His work focuses on grief, loss, human rights, mental health and social justice with a focus on also building a life after loss. And in 2017 he set the Guinness World Record For the World's Largest Mental Health Lesson. He most recently finished touring with Bon Iver and Taylor Swift and featured alongside Lady Gaga in The Apple TV Series The Me You Can't See executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry.
