Championing Black and Asian Voices at Stratford East: A History

Championing Black and Asian Voices at Stratford East: A History

Stratford East has a long and proud history of championing Black and Asian artists, staging important - and often groundbreaking - stories that speak to its local community. We’ve been fortunate enough to work with many global majority artists at the start of their careers as well as influential organisations such as the Black Theatre Co-operative/Nitro, Talawa, Tamasha and Rifco Arts.

Join us for a panel talk hosted by Chinonyerem Odimba, Artistic Director of tiata fahodzi, delving into Stratford East’s body of work and looking at some milestone productions and leading artists who have been part of Stratford East’s history.

Panel includes: Roy Williams, Tanika Gupta, Jo Martin and Dipo Baruwa-Etti.

Featuring a performance by Russenï.

BSL interpreted by Vinessa Brant.

Supported by the National Heritage Lottery Fund
