Stratford East is bringing you a wealth of theatre, comedy, dance and music throughout the summer and autumn of 2024, including Mike Leigh’s satirical tragicomedy, ABIGAIL’S PARTY. This unmissable modern classic, set in 1970s Essex, will be directed by our Artistic Director, Nadia Fall, in September 2024.
This July we have the one-of-a-kind comedian Nina Conti taking to the stage, where she’ll be joined by a host of other stand-up talents as LIVE AT STRATFORD EAST returns. Our Youth Company will also be presenting their brand-new show, we all know how this ends. Written by Molly Taylor and directed by Katie Greenall, this is a big-hearted new play about life, death, and all that stuff in between.
Bristol Old Vic’s production of WONDER BOY will be gracing our stage in October, as Oliver Award-winner Sally Cookson directs an uplifting story about the power of communication. Featuring live creative captioning throughout, this critically acclaimed show contains playful humour, dazzling visuals and thrilling original music.
THE MOUNTAINTOP explores the place where hope and history converge in a captivating, emotional and heart-stopping retelling of Dr. Martin Luther King’s last night on this earth.
Ballet Black return to Stratford East with a brand-new double bill in BALLET BLACK: HEROES. Award-winning choreographer Mthuthuzeli November contemplates the purpose of life in The Waiting Game, before Sophie Laplane’s new piece, If At First, completes this double bill.
With tickets from £10 for most of our shows, Pay What You Can and Access performances for ABIGAIL’S PARTY, and live creative captioning throughout WONDER BOY, we’re keeping great theatre open to everyone throughout 2024.
