Artistic
We programme 5-7 productions a year on our stage, made up of a mixture of classic plays, revivals and new work. We sometime also run smaller projects. We don't accept unsolicited scripts, as our ability to programme new work is limited, but we do occasionally run call-outs for new projects.
Any call-outs will be on the Vacancies page of our website, along with adverts for any vacant roles in our creative teams.
Production
In the production department we rely on freelancers for the majority of our show-related roles. This includes Technicians, Sound Engineers, Electricians, Costume-Makers, Dressers, Follow-Spot Operators, Stage Crew, Carpenters, Video Engineers, Stage Management, Production Management and Scenic Artists. These freelancers can be employed for a day, or on a fixed-term contract.
We are always looking for freelance technical staff of all disciplines to join us and help support our Production department in facilitating our shows. If you are interested in being added to our pool of freelance staff, please click here and add your details to the form. Your details will be kept on our files in accordance with our Data policy for 36 months and then removed in accordance with GDPR.
Learning & Production
We work with freelancers to deliver and project manage our programmes. The work ranges from longer term programmes such as our youth theatres, shorter interventions such as holiday and schools' programmes and one-off items such as masterclasses and insight days. We work with creatives such as Directors, Writers, Movement Specialists and Designers, as well as those who work in backstage disciplines. We also work with freelancers with project management skills. Our work focuses on four key areas: young people, schools, communities and emerging artists. We accept CVs throughout the year and will post upcoming opportunities on the Vacancies page of our website.
