The health, safety and well-being of our audiences, artists and staff is of paramount importance. We're taking every measure to ensure everyone feels safe and welcome when visiting Stratford East.
MANDATORY FACE COVERINGS
Following the government announcement on Wed 08 Dec, from Fri 10 Dec, face coverings will be a legal requirement throughout our building and inside the theatre. This decision has been made in response to the government moving to Plan B.
This requirement applies throughout the performance, apart from when eating and drinking. Our Front of House team will be reminding all audience members to wear masks, and we ask for your support in complying with mask wearing, in the spirit of the festive season and keeping each other safe.
Face coverings are not currently mandated for those using our bar, but we would encourage you to wear them when placing food or drinks orders and when moving around any area in the bar.
There are exceptions in place for those who are exempt from wearing face coverings, those under 12 years of age, and when people are eating or drinking in the building.
If you are exempt from wearing a mask and would like a sticker to indicate this, please ask a member of our Box Office team and they will happily provide you with one.
Proof of vaccination, or proof of a negative lateral flow test, are currently not a requirement for seated theatres. At this time, we will not be checking either of these, but we would encourage all theatre-goers to take a lateral flow test before coming to the theatre, and not to attend if there is a positive result.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding and we look forward to welcoming you on your next visit.
All safety measures will be reviewed and updated as government guidelines change
