Our Grade II listed auditorium was built in 1884. Newly refurbished with new seating and carpets over the summer of 2015, we have 230 seats in the stalls, 116 in the Jean Brown dress circle, and another 100 in our upper circle, where Joan Littlewood liked to sit!
Our stalls are fully accessible for all with mobility concerns. There is a lift up to the upper two levels also, although there are then steps down into the auditorium so these levels are not suitable for wheelchair users.
Our upper circle has recently been completely re-stepped so we have gorgeous individual seats on this level, for the first time in the theatre's history. As much as we loved the original bench seating, these are considerably more comfortable, plus the view is excellent!
