EQUUS Workshop with Director Ned Bennett: integrating production elements

Are you looking to explore how theatre is made? Award-winning director Ned Bennett will be leading workshops relating to his current production EQUUS.

This workshop is for people who have already seen EQUUS and want to find out more about how it was made - looking at the techniques used in the creative process.

This introductory workshop is appropriate for theatremakers from any discipline or people with an interest in theatre - no experience necessary. It will cover approaches to text, design and structuring the rehearsal process.

Tue 19 Mar, 7pm - 8.30pm
Thu 21 Mar, 7pm - 8.30pm

Training: LAMDA, NT Studio Directors’ Course and as Trainee Director at the Royal Court (2012–13).

Directing credits include: Victoria's Knickers (NYT Rep), Buggy Baby (Yard Theatre), Baddies (Synergy Theatre Project), An Octoroon (Orange Tree Theatre/National Theatre), Brixton Rock (The Big House), The Crocodile (Manchester International Festival), Yen (Royal Exchange/Royal Court), Pomona (Orange Tree Theatre/National Theatre/Royal Exchange/RWCMD/The Gate), Superior Donuts (Southwark Playhouse), PrimetimePigeons (Royal Court tours) Mercury Fur (Old Red Lion/Trafalgar Studios) and A Butcher of Distinction (King’s Head Theatre).

Awards include: UK Theatre Award for Best Director (Yen/Pomona), Off West End Award for Best Director (Pomona) and Off West End Award for Best Director for (An Octoroon).
