Young Company

Stratford East Young Company

My confidence has skyrocketed since joining Young Company. - Young Company Participant 2024

The Stratford East Young Company are a group of actors and theatre-makers aged 18-25, primarily from east London*, who are interested in taking the next step towards a career in the arts. As a Young Company member, you’ll have access to alternative professional training, working with Young Company Director and ROMEO & JULIET Associate Director Grace Duggan over a 10-month programme. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive learning environment to nurture and develop your talents.

This year the Stratford East Young Company will be working towards a full-scale mainstage production of ROMEO & JULIET written by William Shakespeare and adapted by Kwame Owusu, co-directed by Emily Ling-Williams and Malik Nashad Sharpe. The cast will be made up of Stratford East Young Company Members and Sadlers Wells Young Dancers, alongside a chorus of Newham Residents. For more information about the show, look here.

ROMEO & JULIET is a co-production between Stratford East and Sadlers Wells. For more information about Sadlers Wells have a look at their website here.
